Announcing June/July Code Contest Winners!
September 25, 2024

Our latest code challenge was SO MUCH FUN! We had so many amazing projects submitted from around the world, and are excited to reveal the winners!

Here’s the prompt students were given:

Strange things are happening on Planet Fiero!

Robots are randomly being teleported all over the planet, spoons are bending, and if we’re not mistaken, the very fabric of space and time is beginning to rip! Fear not, for what most would consider the beginning of the end, here on Planet Fiero, it’s just another Tuesday.

There’s only one thing we can do to heal the rip in space and time: give our fair citizens robots the power of choice. That’s right, every choice a fair citizen of Planet Fiero is able to make for themselves is a stitch back into the fabric of space and time.

But how are we going to help our friends make more choices? Simple. By making a super fun video game that is loaded with choices. We’ll call it “Adventures in the Multiverse” and it’ll be a “choose-your-own-adventure” game.

And here are the winners!

Well done to all of our participants!

Our next coding contest starts October 1 and runs until November 30th! The theme is Visual Story Telling. You will be using HTML/CSS/JS to design and create a beautiful web page to tell a short story. No coding experience required!

Here are the details and marketing materials for that competition, for all of our library partners.
